3 Nude Lips Every Dark-Skinned Girl Should Own
A nude lip is like a good nap; you can never have too many!
More days than not I find myself grabbing a nude lipstick to complete my makeup look.
Before I go any further, I fee it’s my responsibility to define what I mean by “nude” lips because nude is different for everyone.
Nude lipsticks are colors that emphasize the natural hue of your lips.
For instance, a nude on Beyoncé versus a nude on Cardi B will not necessarily be the same.
When approaching nude lips, do not think of nude as an actual color. Instead think naked skin or your natural skin tone.
It took me a while to master the nude concept, especially during my developmental years in beauty because the whole Nicki Minaj, harajuku-Barbie look was on-trend.
Sis, I was running around with a bright pink, almost beige colored-lip calling it “beat.” 😂

Now that I know better, I do better.
My goal when pairing a nude lip to my dark-deep complexion is to match the center of my actual lip color with the lipstick of choice. I also prefer to stay in the cool-brown family, which allows me to wear light-brown/tan to deep brown colors.
